A family-owned lighting company out of San Antonio — Lucifer Lighting — has taken the retail space at 11 Jay, the former Lymbr stretching studio. (I have to admit I didn’t realize Lymbr had closed — maybe during the pandemic? They opened in that space in 2018.) Thanks to G. for the shot.

Lucifer — just in time for Halloween — was founded 40 years ago to create lighting for department stores. It has since expanded to a 13-acre campus in San Antonio where all design, manufacturing, production and management take place. Sounds like a sweet spot: the company also has 20 miles of walking and biking trails on its campus.

This is a nice addition to the Tribeca Design District, along with newcomers Baboo, with more TK on that, TRNK and Salon Design.
