FOR HAITI’S SAKE
Go buy a coffee—make that a round of coffee for everyone you work with!—at Wichcraft. All coffee proceeds today go to the American Red Cross Haiti earthquake relief. Also, keep an eye open for the Restaurant Week food truck, which will be in Tribeca Feb. 4 and 5; it’ll serve soup from participating restaurants, with $1 from every $6 cup going to rebuilding Haiti. (P.S. I ended up eating at Motorino in the East Village last night—the restaurant was part of the Dine Out for Haiti initiative—and the pizza was good, but Franny’s is still #1 in my book.)

BLOCK PARTY
Tribeca-based designer and entrepreneur Jennifer Esposito has launched a clever line of furniture-slash-playthings called Jenny’s Blocks. The kid in me wishes I had had them way back when; the adult in me wishes I had Esposito’s apartment now.

DIM BULBS
I posted a rant about bus bulbs, those sidewalk extensions in Soho and Tribeca that were supposed to have helped traffic flow—and not everyone appreciated it.

Speaking of Megu: The restaurant released its Valentine’s Day prix-fixe menu, as did the Harrison (though I questioned its value), and Trattoria Cinque (aphrodisiacs). Landmarc, meanwhile, is accepting reservations for parties under 6 on OpenTable (it doesn’t usually). If you’re not taking your petit chou out for V-Day, you might consider a big bouquet, such as this one from Balloon Saloon.
