I was just wondering aloud who had taken over 182 Duane—the windows at the former home of Lucca Antiques (and before that, Room) had recently been papered over—and now we know. The Commercial Observer reports that the Lovely bridal shop has signed a ten-year lease: “The 2,500-square foot ground floor space, between Hudson and Greenwich Streets, features an additional 2,000-square-foot lower level. A small backyard patio sits behind the all-glass doors that line the rear of the lower space, giving the shop a tucked-away, oasis-like feel that the owners sought, brokers involved with the deal said.”
Lovely currently has by-appointment-only boutiques on W. 4th (in the nice part, up by W. 12th) and on Robertson in West Hollywood. Brands the shops carry include Anne Barge, Badgley Mischka, Carol Hannah, Claire La Faye, and David Fielden.
According to the company’s website, it has begun franchising.
