••• Steven Alan Home Store opens this week! At least according to a Facebook post by Cloth and Goods: “We are very excited about our new collaboration with Steve Allan Home Store in Tribeca NYC—products made from Cloth and Goods
If you are in the area stop by 103 Franklin Street on March 14th for their opening and hear about us in the Story Blue.” (Anyone know what that last part might mean?) UPDATE: Wait, did they say 103 Franklin? That’s the Steven Alan Annex. I’ll try finding out what’s up…. UPDATE: The press reps say they “can’t disclose any information right now due to exclusivity agreements,” so if there is indeed an opening this week, I’d assume the New York Times home section (on Thursday) is running an item.

••• Is the café at Jem Fabric Warehouse closed? It hasn’t been open the last few times I’ve walked by—including today—but last time I asked inside the shop they said it would reopen.

••• From Lynn Decker: “Cooper’s hawk spotted this morning from center of block bounded by Greenwich, Harrison, Hudson, Franklin Streets. (Second photo is better for identification, taken several weeks back.) Have found several pigeon carcasses this spring, suggesting our location has become a favored hunting ground. Actually saw this bird right outside our second floor window one time. Wondering if others have noticed increased raptor activity this year.”
