••• Press release: “BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center proudly presents Peter Cincotti, performing on Saturday, October 25, the first of four major concerts in the 2014-2015 Main Event Series, which also includes the Spanish Harlem Orchestra (November 21) and The Hit Men (December 13). Also featured are Alexis P. Suter (January 9), and Ruthie Foster (May 8 ), among others. Other exciting Tribeca Spotlight and Special events will include the New York premiere of the Senegal St. Joseph Gospel Choir (October 17), David Wong & High Strung (November 14), and comedian Calisa Hawkins (February 6). We also continue to present a diverse slate of Family programming, free film retrospectives, and a variety of dance, comedy, and more! ••• From Hotel Particulier: “We are pleased to welcome iconic gallerists Stailey-Wise in residence with an exhibit curated by Béatrice Dupire, of over 50 photographs celebrating the free spirit of the summer.” It’s called “Les Vacances” and it opens July 22. (Hotel Particulier’s press release included the photo I used on the home page/search results page…. It’s by Slim Aarons, with whom I worked at Town & Country. Even back then they didn’t make ’em like Slim anymore.)
