••• From the Battery Conservancy: “By March 1, the fences along Battery Place will come down, officially opening up the entire western side of The Battery. We have also begun the process of relocating The Battery Urban Farm to its new home—surrounding the Labyrinth! In addition to our vegetable beds, there will be a new Forest Farm—the first of its kind in Manhattan—complete with native, shade-loving edible plants and fruit trees. The farm—both traditional and the enchanting new forest addition—is scheduled to open on April 1. The next phase of construction will take place in The Battery Woodland where the next part of The Battery Bikeway will be built.”
••• Press release for trivia: “Tuesday, February 24, from 7 p.m to 9:30 p.m. at the Dark Horse Tavern, 17 Murray. Round-robin format, more for fun than competitive. Join a team or bring your own!
