••• K. noticed that J. Crew’s website says its Brookfield Place store is opening Thursday, March 26, so I think we can assume that’s the opening date for the entire first wave of shops.

••• A sign on the (closed) souvenir shop at the corner of Church and Warren says it has moved to (inside?) the Hallmark store across the street. I’ve never been in there, and I’m not starting now.

••• White Street evidently has a “Secret Lounge.” I emailed to find out more, and I was told, “It is a VIP lounge for invited guests.” Apparently, Page Six mentioned it in December: The lounge “hosted a wine tasting for Brook​e​ Shields, Howard and Beth Stern, Katie Couric and Savannah Guthrie.” (Pic from here.)

••• The updated Community Board 1 agendas include “5 Beekman Street, liquor license application for Slip Anchor LLC (Postponed to April).” Googling “Slip Anchor LLC” brings up trademarks it filed for Albertine and Charbonnier, indicating they’re for “food and drink services.” I’d wager that Keith McNally is naming his restaurant one or the other, because the words are French, but who knows, maybe it’s Tom Colicchio’s. (An interesting side note: Stéphane Charbonnier was the editorial director of Charlie Hebdo recently killed in the infamous attack.)

••• From Matt of Green & Ground: “We’re having a pop up at Baked for the first day of spring, next Saturday (March 21). We’ll be selling grab-and-go bouquets, exotic plants, terrariums, and handmade ceramics from a vintage flower cart (circa 1918!)”
