They are so kid unfriendly. Need to get with the orgr and adapt like Maman and Cyrk did. Odeon is always awesome to families. Swift seating and service. — Mom mayor on The Two Hands Dinner Menu

I really like the Amada menu. Looks like a great addition. — Doug on In the News: Amada Opens on Monday
Yes, the street fair is mayhem. Every year I pack a picnic and a bunch of relevant books and essays (e.g., "Reflections on Exile" by Edward Said; "The Long Exile" by Tolstoy; "Walking in the City" by M. Certeau; "Walking" by Thoreau; The Walk by R. Walser; The Flaneur by Edmund White; A Philosophy of Walking by Frederic Gros; A Walker in the City by Alfred Kazin; Reveries of a Solitary Walker by JJ Rousseau; The Walk by JC Robinson; The Other Walk by Sven Birkerts; Wandering by H. Hesse. My favorite is Basho's Narrow Road to the Interior. Thus armed, I decamp for the day with the dogs, either south to Battery Park or north to the Chelsea Piers. — Jane Freeman on Seen & Heard: Franklin Street Flea Market

I'll believe it when I see it. It was less than a year ago that I received a flyer in the mail from Westfield (operators of the Westfield World Trade Center) announcing that the mall would be open on December 17, 2015. Then they delayed that until the "first half of 2016" and then August 2016 and now we're hearing that only the first store will be open in August. Also, as recently as March, it was stated that Eataly would be open in April and now they're saying July. From the looks of things, construction on any of the stores has barely started and - given how long it has taken Brookfield to finish construction its stores - I hold out absolutely no hope that Westfield will somehow do a quicker job and have things open by July or August. I think we'd be lucky to see anything open until 2017. For whatever reason, Westfield (a seemingly successful mall developer and operator in other parts of the world) can't seem to get its act together in NYC. From the much delayed opening of stores in the Fulton Center (well over a year after the Fulton Center itself opened) to the constant construction delays and blown opening dates at the World Trade, it seems that Westfield doesn't have what it takes to get the job done in a timely fashion. I'm not holding by breath for an August 2016 opening. — Gene on Eataly Will Open in July
I received a free sample of the cookie dough hummus the last time I ordered from them. So, so strange. It takes a bit like cookie dough, but not at all sweet and way too hummus-y. Not a fan. — Donna on Seen & Heard: Where to Watch the America’s Cup

I've never been impressed with the other location. And I don't get why restaurants don't flavor the food. Kinda blah in my opinion. — Theanes1 on The Two Hands Dinner Menu
I don't think there's any reason to doubt the sculpture is still coming. — Erik Torkells on Seen & Heard: Franklin Street Flea Market
Has Kapoor actually confirmed? Why do I feel like the sculpture is still a maybe? Frankly, it's the only thing I look forward to when this building is completed. — Andrea on Seen & Heard: Franklin Street Flea Market
62 Walker had been a fabric store which closed about 4 years ago. Since then, it has been used on-an-off as a gallery for infrequent photography/art exhibitions. I haven't seen anything in there in the last year. — TPA on Seen & Heard: How to Report an Overly Loud Ice Cream Truck
Loud is what the cool kids are doing. Restaurants are either loud, or going out of business. That sweet spot of "It's such an great happening place, but I can always walk in a get a table with a 15 minute wait" is very elusive. That said, congrats to the Odeon for maintaining that for years. — EHS on The Two Hands Dinner Menu

Love these report cards as well. Well balanced and rounded review. I'm really surprised with the exterior. This building is brand new but to me, appears that it could have been built 15 years ago. Brick is a great feature on the exterior of a new building but needs to be done correctly from a design perspective. Agreed on the green glass. Outdates a brand new building. I'm sure inside will be beautiful with great views from some units. It will bring needed retail to the area! — Jenny on New Building Report Card: 456 Washington
Good, But.... I recently went for lunch and the menu and food were good. But, I will probably never go again. The noise in the space was deafening. I'll waIt until Tribeca Citizen reports that sound absorption has been added and it's safe to go again. This is becoming an all too common issue for restaurants but this one is among the worst. — DLM on The Two Hands Dinner Menu
Reminder: The Tribeca Family Festival starts closing down local streets early on Friday and rush hour(s) becomes a royal nightmare. With everyone trying to get out of town for public school Spring Break and Passover I predict mayhem. — JD on Seen & Heard: Franklin Street Flea Market
I live in CT. The Bubble Lounge has been a destination for me since it opened. I hope that they find a new location but at this point it seems doubtful. San Francisco is a long way, even for a glass of champagne. — Murray on The Bubble Lounge Is About to Pop Its Last Cork
