Rag & Bone would qualify as high end retail. — James on Is Rag & Bone Opening in Tribeca?
While living in Canada and way back before I even knew what Tribeca was, I sent a Waterman Pen to the Hospital for repair. It was the only place that could do the work then, and it probably still is. Knowing there was only one, I was delighted to see the business once we moved here. — Andrea on Spotlight: Fountain Pen Hospital

"Heard an interesting rumor that the former Bubble Lounge space is being split into two storefronts, one at 228 W. Broadway and one at 8 N. Moore." I heard that rumor too, but the place was always listed as one store, not divisible. — James on Seen & Heard: Tenoverten Is Opening a FiDi Salon
Totally agree with Josh1. This rendering shows practically nothing. I am very interested in the entire design, but this is like when I see what sounds like a good apartment for rent with no sq ft or price listed and you just know then that its no good. — a different josh on Renderings for Big New Warren Street Condo
it's a nice rendering of the jenga building but it really doesn't show much of this project. — josh on Renderings for Big New Warren Street Condo
I've been regularly following FPH and gets their annual magazine on Pens. I simply admire them and wish their business flourish further ...Good Luck.. # MUTHUMANI SHANMUGANATHAN, Bangalore, INDIA. Oct.06, 2015. — MUTHUMANI SHANMUGANATHAN on Spotlight: Fountain Pen Hospital
I do like the design, even if a bit brutalist. My issue with these new developments is the commercial space. Not sure if it is the size or the price, but they sit empty for years. 25 Murray (the block of Church btw Murray and Warren) sits empty for years with a few failed businesses. The Warren St side is a complete joke. I really do not understand the dual level spaces that are not inviting. Maybe they will be filled with another crossfit shop or wedding dress by appointment store. But these are not the type of commerce that makes for lively street fronts. Bemoan what they look like on the outside, but shoe repair shops, newsstands, and frigging food shop/deli/grocery make for busy sidewalks and a safe community. — mruptight on Renderings for Big New Warren Street Condo
Can they not make the salt shed exterior surface a rock climbing wall open to the public (or operated by a third party rock climbing course company = more $ for government)? It would be an amazing dual use for the structure, and the holes in the concrete almost look like they were ready made for rock wall features and obstacles... — Steve on Seen & Heard: The Salt Shed Is Fully Exposed

We were very disappointed with the above comment in light of our ongoing efforts to be responsive on this particular subject. Spring Studios responds immediately to any complaints and while we have only received complaints about lighting from one individual, Spring, in cooperation with Community Board One, has gone as far as to offer an engineer to go to the residence in question to see which lights could be altered to alleviate the situation. With the exception of mandatory safety lighting, Spring always shuts down it's lighting when not in use. Please contact us with any issues and we will do our best to make accommodations. Interesting that they would do any work on Vestry between Hudson and Varick. Vestry is only 4 blocks long spanning from West to Washington to Greenwich to Hudson to Varick. The area from Hudson to Varick is a loop that comes out on Laight street near the exit from the Holland Tunnel. Vestry could use a lot of work from West to Hudson...so why they are only doing this single block is outright perplexing. Very little traffic there vehicular or pedestrian. Also with the projects on 70 Vestry and others....that area will continue to take abuse until the work is done. Don't even get me started on Washington Street between Hubert and Canal....it's like the surface of the Moon! — Marc on Vestry Street Is Getting Torn Up Next
I'm glad we're getting more commercial space - something we need, right? More huge vacant first floors? Awesome. — Jolene on Northwest Tribeca’s Next Big Development
We had a similar experience there a couple of weeks ago. Ordered the vegetarian burrito, and they "forgot" the vegetables. (They did try to make it up by giving us a single fish taco on the house.) We adhere to the same standards for meat eating, so we missed out on what looks like the best things on the menu. Everything else is pretty tasteless. Staff is aloof at best, so now way I was tipping them. Bottom line is El Luchador is really long on style & attitude and really short substance. — Michael on First Impressions: El Luchador
I can't imagine Jenny does any cooking in that kitchen. Within 3 months that georgous carpet on the floor would look like the rubber mats behind the counter in a LES bodega. — Monica Lee on Loft Peeping: Jenny Wolf
