They never planned for the horses to come back. In three years, they'll announce another delay. Because there's isn't a plan. — jfrankp on In the News: The NYPD Stable Isn’t Coming Back Anytime Soon
Why didn't they use the substation they had on Washington Street? It's more convenient to the WTC and it's just been sitting there empty since they moved out. Not sure what it was used for and why it was closed. Although I'm hoping something nice moves in there eventually. — Hudson River on In the News: The NYPD Stable Isn’t Coming Back Anytime Soon

The chairs are weak, but just so you know, they're for people who come to watch something be discussed in committee. Actual city council members get wooden desks that were all stored off to the side on the day I went. — Erik Torkells on Inside the Renovated City Hall

The new crane at 56 Leonard has played a real "switcheroo" on the neighborhood, alright. It is equipped with klieg lights that illuminate the surrounding buildings all night. Is this what we have to live with for the next 2 years? — Nelle on Seen & Heard: A Creperie on Chambers

When we went thru the PATH train/concourse connection last night, they were building some kind of structure outside the entrance. Thought it might be a protection against the falling ice. BTW I got caught going thru there during the incident Tuesday morning, and they assume everybody using it is going to/from New Jersey, so if you're just going from BPC to West Broadway and not to the PATH, they don't bother to let you know you can't get out. If you see more people than usual going from east to west through the concourse, that's your clue. — Hudson River on In the News: Bonobos Signs on at Brookfield Place
Also, forgot to mention. The crane thing going on Leonard could possibly be the reason for the removal of the Citibikes. — lowphat on Seen & Heard: Work Underway on “Cast-Iron Inversion”
I used them a couple of times and felt they were always overcharging. One time I took a package to be delivered and they told me it would cost $45. I told them that I had a similar package delivered at another UPS location for $20 just a few days earlier and they immediately reduced the price to $20. Shady. — lowphat on Seen & Heard: Work Underway on “Cast-Iron Inversion”
