It is the most used lawn in the city by square foot AND it is never closed. It is not embarrassing! Every other park closes its lawns to let them rest and we do not because it is so important to the neighborhood. Plus the lawn gets sodded every spring. This spring Parks skipped it since we thought the construction would start... — Tribeca Citizen on Washington Market Park paths will be replaced next spring

Carl and April, you are two of Tribeca's most precious jewels. Thank you for all you do for us and for compiling this wonderful book of memories. Congratulations! — Alice Blank on Books of Tribeca: Tribeca | Four Decades in Pictures
The best owner and crew. The best (and most crazily diverse) customers. The best vibe. The truly extraordinary food. By far the best cuban sandwich in the United States (I am from Miami). Everything so understated and so reliably excellent. Words fail. We have our memories, and we will always miss Westside Coffeeshop. — David on Westside Coffee Shop, a Tribeca stalwart, has closed

I just ordered this book and I can't wait to see his pictures in color and a non digital format. Documents a great piece of history, I wish I had been part of (everyone seems so much more relaxed). It's so hard to imagine what it was vs. what it has become. Congratulations (and thank you) Carl! — vale on Books of Tribeca: Tribeca | Four Decades in Pictures

Howard Hughes Holding transferred ownership of the “Seaport District” to a newly created subsidiary called Seaport Entertainment Group on or about August 1st. This was just a paperwork transaction linking the Seaport with HHH property in Las Vegas of all places, we have no idea if anything is “chugging along “. — Michael Kramer on In the News: Traffic and ambulance response times
