Love these! I'm going to increase my sidewalk and gutter gazing from now on. BTW I think the metal spiral is construction debris - the trimming from a cut pipe (in case you didn't know). — Andrea on Found Anything Good Lately?

These trees grow 25m to 30m - I.e. almost 100' tall! Not ideal for a glassed in enclosure with height restrictions. Perhaps they should think of something else to use instead? ::::: thinking of 16 palm trees shaking and chanting serenity now... Serenity now :::::::: :) — Rohin on Palmicide at the Winter Garden

I was first in shock myself but it turns out that the Palm grew to big and were a danger to tip over, they will be donated to charity and new smaller once will be brought in soon. I know it is heartbreaking to see the giants go, but they did not want to risk any accidents to happen. — Manon on Palmicide at the Winter Garden
I hope Palmicide includes jail time. This is outrageous. I am trying to believe that the trees became diseased and will be replaced; but frankly, with Brookfield's record, I am having trouble believing myself. — betty on Palmicide at the Winter Garden
beautiful! — Liat on Instagram Tribeca (Vol. 7)

Gorgeous! I know we are all very Manhattan-centric when it comes to skylines, but I gaze at this one all of the time and love it. — Andrea on Valentine No. 33

I'm just going to put this out there: Let's say I have an apartment facing the street. I like to sit at my desk and work nekkid. You live across the street from me. You have small kids (just to up the ante a bit). You're not happy about my "work habits', so you snap a photo and go to the police and complain of indecency. Can I then turn it around and sue YOU for invading my privacy? After all, I'm in my home, my absolutely private space where you don't have any right to look in and even less to tell me what do. So I've upset your kids? THEY'RE the criminals for looking in MY window! Who told them to? THEY ought to have the police called on THEM, right? I have a right to privacy in my own home, don't I? — David G. Imber on Artist Wins Dismissal in Suit Over Voyeuristic Photos

@Megan: I came so close to asking when I posted this, but for some reason I didn't. I just emailed the PR rep. Stay tuned.... — Erik Torkells on Seen & Heard: New Flower Shop
Who designed and sculpted those? There is no mention of the artist and I would love to find out who. — Megan Oliver on Seen & Heard: New Flower Shop
The new park is fantastic. My only complaint is the handles on the gates. It's like they're designed to cut you every time you try and use them. Ouch! — David on Inside the New Dog Run
