  • Should I not have included that last one? It makes me uncomfortable. If people find it objectionable, please let me know. — Erik Torkells on Photo Safari!

  • My electricity bill has increased substantially from last year. The main driver is that the "Market Supply Charge" has more than doubled from ~5 cents/Kwhr to 11 cents/Kwhr. This is the market price of electricity - grid price - that has increased so much. — Another Neighbor on Seen & Heard: John Allan’s Update

  • You linked to other stories in Tribeca Trib. I am confused. There was a huge meeting at 375 Hudson Street last night with severla hundred people and many elected officials. You shuld have bene there, or were you busy Instagramming oddities? — Adam on In the News: West Thames Bridge

  • Why are you not covering the NID tax that fat cat developers are trying to secrtly dump on us? You seem to have plenty of time on your hands. Do some reporting. — Adam on In the News: West Thames Bridge

  • I thought the food was pretty good. Didn't get to try that many dishes bc it was only the two of us dining. Good enough to go back and try some other dishes. — Tribeca Resident on In the News: West Thames Bridge

  • We need more sushi places! — StrollerlessTribecaHottie on Trattoria Cinque Appears to Be Closing

  • Who is Jim Smithers and is he really Erik Torkells? — L on Trattoria Cinque Appears to Be Closing

  • I agree with Louis. Nine years ago, when we first moved to our current location on Fulton Street, we were the only family with children. Today, our small condo building with just 14 units has a total of 15 kids! All around us new buildings are being built, and old ones are getting renovated and converted into condos or co-ops. It is also very apparent with sidewalk traffic that many young families are moving in, not the other way around. — Ivana on In the News: FiDi’s Transient Population

  • Does the neighborhood really need another elite, high-priced steakhouse? I'll give that a +1 — JK on Trattoria Cinque Appears to Be Closing

  • If it's good enough for the Atlantic City elite, then it will fit in just fine with Tribeca's anti-DiaperBagger consortium. — Jim Smithers on Trattoria Cinque Appears to Be Closing

  • @Nelle, that's how I feel about it too. — liat on Trattoria Cinque Appears to Be Closing

  • Does the neighborhood really need another elite, high-priced steakhouse? Trattoria Cinque's ambiance was better than their cuisine. Still, it was reasonably priced and welcoming to families (not just bankers). They will be missed. — Nelle on Trattoria Cinque Appears to Be Closing

  • Eh, never thought it was that good. Always preferred Max's, ROC, etc... I e-mailed Ippudo to try to get them to take the space. That's my jam. — Oren on Trattoria Cinque Appears to Be Closing

  • I gotta say, I always found it to be a nice enough place, after a few visits that featured disinterested (almost dismissive) service we couldn't be bothered to go back. Clearly others enjoyed it. Now when it was Devin Tavern.... That was fantastic. — JK on Trattoria Cinque Appears to Be Closing

  • Looking forward to having more good food places. — Matilde on Big News About the Brookfield Place Food Court

  • So sad! We loved their brunch! That french toast was crazy good. — Wynne on Trattoria Cinque Appears to Be Closing

  • I think it's time to close the comments on this post. — Erik Torkells on Inside a Goldman Sachs Ferry

  • Hmm it seems that SyrollerlessTribecaHottie is a name exclusively used on this blog. Clearly it is crony of Torkells used to post fake comments to give the appearance that blog is truly generating community comments. Jim Smithers has generated questions from others. With maybe one or two exceptions this has been two days of Torkel and his close friends committing defamatory cyberbullying. The fact that he refuse to delete these comments says a lot. — Steven E. Greer on Inside a Goldman Sachs Ferry

  • Am I the only one who thinks this is more entertaining than the real Housewives of NJ? — Sheila on Inside a Goldman Sachs Ferry

  • Bad publicity is publicity... Now I am going to see for myself! — StrollerlessTribecaHottie on In the News: West Thames Bridge

  • Calling me "crazy" "UFO" "insane" "not a doctor" is pure cyber bullying. Sadder yet it is all perpetrated by 50 year old men acting like teenagers. People need to stand up to this. Torkells refuses to remove these posts so I will have to monitor this for any more serious comments. — Steven E. Greer on Inside a Goldman Sachs Ferry

  • @Doug: Adam and I both thought the food was pretty good -- but then we didn't order the food-critic bait like the corn dogs, the shrimp nachos, the mac and cheese with poached egg, etc. I definitely think it's worth a try. — Erik Torkells on In the News: West Thames Bridge

  • Pardon the typos — Steven E. Greer on Inside a Goldman Sachs Ferry
