  • Collister and Hubert Streets have only marginally improved. That area includes the Am Ex stables building, which has very pricey condos in it. It's amazing residents have not tried to eliminate the grafitti on Collister St. Indeed, the artist who owns the storefront in the Am Ex building that is at 157 Hudson Street does nothing to remove grafitti or maintain the exterior of his space whatsoever. What can be done about this? — CCC on Tribeca Then and Now #5

  • Daniel Libeskind is an over-ripe sack of foul-smelling hot air. Who cares what this pretentious nobody has to say? — Shahab on In the News: Film Festival Building to Become Condos

  • Krystl and I have been twice already, and we loved it. The cocktails are all tasty and interesting, and we really enjoyed their playlist. Something we particularly enjoyed was their coffee. That might seem a little weird, but given Brandon's RBC background, and the fact that the RBC Slayer is back there behind the bar, it makes sense that their coffee is fantastic! It's an unusual little place, a little like one of the tiny bars you'd find hidden away in Tokyo. A nice addition to the area. — Doug on First Impressions: The Lounge at Atera

  • Everyone in New York knows that Daniel Libeskind paid Alex Gorlin to design his apartment for him, and DoB records confirm that Alex is the architect. So why does Libeskind persist in lying that it's his own design? It's bad enough that he tells everyone he's still the Master Planner at Ground Zero even though he's been replaced for just about every aspect of that project. Sheesh .... doesn't this guy understand the difference between lying and telling the truth? Does Libeskind think New Yorkers are stupid? — Wasserman on In the News: Film Festival Building to Become Condos

  • And yes, we realize it's spelled "Erik". We're playing with you. We like to play. — David G. Imber on The Shopdogs of Tribeca (Vol. 4)

  • Though you can hardly hear it, the birds and cat are saying "come now, Eric, you've learned to call "congressmen" "congress members". Can you not refer to us as shopdogs? Not that there's anything wrong with being a dog, but this is 2013. Great work otherwise!" — David G. Imber on The Shopdogs of Tribeca (Vol. 4)

  • I just LOVE Patti at Tent & Trails. She always gives me a big "purrrrrr". I was in buying a great pair of hiking boots last week (they were having a nice sale), and Patti and I had a bit of a chat, or well she just purrrred. She does love being scratched under the chin. See you later this week Patti, I need a new ski jacket!!!! — jean strong on The Shopdogs of Tribeca (Vol. 4)

  • Pet photography is hard, but you've mastered it - great perspective. Lots of practice with Howard has really paid off. — Andrea on The Shopdogs of Tribeca (Vol. 4)

  • What's the deal with the exercise equipment on the second floor of 40 Harrison Street facing Greenwich Street. Had heard that Equinox was opening another branch at IPN but cannot find any publicity. The doormen at 40 Harrison won't or cannot provide any info. — Jane Slavin on Asphalt Green Update

  • @James: It was Squadron. No clue if it's online -- I'll post the email later as a pdf — Erik Torkells on Seen & Heard: 460 Washington Cleanup

  • Did you mean to write that Sheldon Silver, not Squadron, made a public statement about the Ballfields (and nothing about Asphalt Green)? I see no statement from Squadron — James on Seen & Heard: 460 Washington Cleanup
