  • With the closing of Century 21, I would think more people are turning to BBB for household items, sheets etc, I know I now spend more time there buying cooking utensils, table linens, glass wear, --items you need to see and hold. Too often certain stuff from Amazon just isn't as good quality as the photos. — Tribeca Grandmom on Bed Bath & Beyond on the brink

  • Correct. — Tribeca Citizen on Whole Foods One Wall Street has opened in Fidi

  • hmm. I'll see what I can learn. Ghostbusters Day is June 8, so that's not the reason... — Tribeca Citizen on Nosy Neighbor: Why is Liberty Park closed?

  • Question for a future Nosy Neighbor -- is there a reason the FDNY Ladder 8 ("Ghostbusters" firehouse) has had swarms of visitors, much more than the usual tourist traffic? Is something pointing more people there recently? Thanks! — CW on Nosy Neighbor: Why is Liberty Park closed?

  • That property, 325 Church Street, is owned by the same entity that owns the corner property, 321 Church Street, and I think another adjacent property, 35 Lispenard. The corner property has demolition and new building permits filed for a 7-story 10k SF building (as reported by TC previously), but I don't see any activity on those permits since 2020 (https://algonyc.com/property.php?BBL=1002100001). Perhaps the owner is emptying out the Saluggi's property to enlarge the planned development beyond just the corner site? — person on Saluggi’s has closed permanently

  • The INTER_IAM exhibit at 415 Broadway took out a 10 year lease? I assumed it was a pop for a few months. — Randy on Whole Foods One Wall Street has opened in Fidi

  • I like BBB. I don't like getting stuff from Amazon for so many reasons. Was disappointed but not surprised to read this in the WSJ a few weeks back. Big drawback is that it has limited inventory, but I do buy there if they have what I'm looking for. It's always my first go-to and Amazon my last on the list. What it does have is convenience and if you're a member a 20% off every purchase benefit. I'm glad they haven't closed it just yet. Will be sad when/if they do. — Vale on Bed Bath & Beyond on the brink

  • Good idea, but that building is taken for at least a decade! — Tribeca Citizen on Whole Foods One Wall Street has opened in Fidi

  • This is a shame. I like that place. I did avoid it though, and that entire block, when the counterfeit sellers spread to the sidewalks on that part of Church Street. It seems very hard to run any kind of business with the sellers blocking the sidewalks. — Marcus on Saluggi’s has closed permanently

  • Wait, what? The luxury stores don't pay rent? — lss on Rite Aid in Brookfield is closing

  • Thank you for this feature; looks great! I hope someday Whole Foods will open a location in Tribeca, maybe right on Canal....would serve both Tribeca and Soho then. Maybe in the Broadway & Canal bank building.... — Marcus on Whole Foods One Wall Street has opened in Fidi

  • Are you kidding? The new WF is great! It's definitely smaller than the Tribeca store. The cake department and seating areas are much smaller--appropriately so. And no sections for Instacart or Amazon. Plus, no demo kitchen. — FIDI resident on Fidi residents line up for Whole Foods

  • Are they taking Amazon returns? — Laura on Fidi residents line up for Whole Foods

  • It is not incorrect... its not 1 wall st as it does not have an entrance on wall st.... as TC said that the official address given by WF — Rich on Whole Foods One Wall Street has opened in Fidi

  • 66 Broadway is incorrect. — David on Whole Foods One Wall Street has opened in Fidi

  • It’s not that complicated. Whether you live in a building with a super/porter, or manage on your own, the distribution of simple instructions take care of this. We provide instructions for both bringing in and removal of trees (we have bags for removal from apartments and have them removed before being put out on the street) to all tenants and staff - so far we have had multiple rounds of successful pick-ups of unbagged trees for mulching. — TheBlackSquirrel on Seen & Heard: Law & Order on the streets of Tribeca

  • Funnily enough, re:L&O filming, I was walking across the street when this scene or a similar one was being filmed outside 80 Warren. The reason i noticed was the technology in play - looked like the actress was standing on a plastic upturned milk crate or soda crate, in order to manage the height difference with Jeffrey Donovan and Mehcad Brooks. I later passed the 2 guys on Greenwich St, and they are both quite tall - 6ft an 6’3” respectively, which always surprises me as i presume actors tend to be more compact. — KO964 on Seen & Heard: Law & Order on the streets of Tribeca
