The quintessential neighborhood joint, Edward’s doesn’t have a pretentious bone in its body. The menu is “global diner,” with pizzas, quesadillas, a tuna sandwich with wasabi, a Niçoise salad, Maryland crab cakes, and so on. The quirk is served the last Monday of each month, on Cincinnati Night, when Cincinnatians mob the place for a taste of home; owner Edward Youkilis even imports Skyline chili and Graeter’s ice cream. (Seatings are at set times and reservations are highly recommended.) There are a few tables up front, a few along the bar, and more in back.
