More casual than fancy

Wife-and-husband team Seong Choi and Minho Yang are trying something new with their second establishment, Noted Tribeca. While Forground, their café near Bryant Park, is aimed more at a workday crowd, Noted is more relaxed, with a cocktail program. The decor reflects that, with room for around 35 people at a mix of seating styles that transitions from day to night. Counter Culture coffee and baked goods from Pain D’Avignon and City Cakes are available at the counter to go, or you can order—à la Gotan—and your food will be brought to you. Chef Steve Song, who has worked at Masa and ABC Kitchen, has created a food menu of New American food with Asian touches, such as yuzu-miso dressing, portobello rice balls, and toast with purple sweet potatoes. Brunch and dinner are traditional full-service, with waiters taking your order.
