The Battery Park City Shake Shack, located on Goldman Alley in the Conrad New York hotel building, is considerably less crowded than its sister outposts, although looks can be deceiving (if, for instance, you find yourself in line behind someone ordering 10 burgers for his co-workers). The menu is the same—burgers, a hot dog, fries, shakes, concretes, and beer and wine. The room is wide open in nice weather, which helps surprisingly little with the noise problem. The restaurant hands out buzzers with every order, so you can wait outside, far from the scrum.
