PEERING DOWN AT PIERS 25 AND 26
Wondering how Piers 25 and 26—and the other unfinished parts of Hudson River Park around them—are shaping up? So was I! So I snuck in used my BMCC ID—I occasionally swim in the pool—to get access to a classroom where I could snap some photos. (Apologies again to the physics class I interrupted.) Let’s take a look…. Plus: Some lively comments.

CALENDAR: MAY 21–JUNE 26
This weekend in Tribeca: Hudson River Pageant, “Lost” parties, Steven Alan sale, “Kevin Geeks Out About Aliens,” a lost jazz shrine, Making Books Sing for kids, Gumby at Tribeca Cinemas Kids Club, new Swedish liqueur, Cassavetes comedy, kids’ concert, burlesque. Plus: The full calendar through June 26.

THE TCQ&A: JUDY DUNNE
The home design store Butter and Eggs was ahead of its time—at least for its location, where Le Pain Quotidien is now, more or less—and owner Judy Dunne (left) closed it in 2007 to focus on her interior-design business, also called Butter and Eggs. She shows us around her Tribeca, including how to beat the lunch rush at Wichcraft; the shop with the best ice-cream sandwiches, and which part of Tribeca reminds her of a movie set.

SORA LELLA: FREE BOTTLE OF WINE
Our neighbors at Sora Lella on Spring would like to offer Tribeca Citizen readers a complimentary bottle of wine, valued at $35. (The full details are here.) Reader Matilde Busana reports back: “The food was fantastic—all wonderful typical Roman dishes—artichoke salad, wonderful prosciuttto, saltimbocca alla romana but with tuna, a great alternative!”

I have to think that whether you recognize the location of the photo below will depend more than usual on where you live, but who knows? Seriously, who knows?
