••• As a result of its candy drive, Torly Kid ended up donating more than 50 pounds of Halloween candy (left) to the Food Bank for NYC.

••• Danny Emerman of Bottino and Zampa—in Chelsea and the West Village, respectively—who used to have a Tribeca restaurant called Barocco, tweeted this: “We may be coming back to Tribeca, tho not as ‘Barocco’ per se. But nothing will ever be like the 80’s downtown I don’t think!”

••• An interesting comment from reader Diane: Wouldn’t it be considerate of Goldman Sachs to sponsor the Battery Park City ice rink? Anyone know who handles community affairs there?

••• “Asian sexsation” Calamity Chang has a new show, “Tails & Feathers,” on Fridays at Toro (under Plein Sud), starting Nov. 19: “The show is free with complimentary drinks from 10–11 p.m. and the show starts at 11 p.m. This inaugural show will feature […] Gal Friday, Bird of Paradise, and I’m thrilled to bring Shelly Watson’s goose-bump-enducing, move you to tears opera singing to this show! The event manager was very excited about having opera there as am I! I have a feeling this will become a monthly show or even bi-monthly. Fingers crossed that the Tribeca folks will like it!” Related: From now on I shall be referring to myself as the Norwegian Callipygian.

••• Space on White will be the site of Shop Creative, an opportunity to buy handmade gifts such as crafts, jewelry, clothing, art, home decor, and more. It’s Dec. 4 from 3:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

••• On Dec. 1 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Babesta Cribz will hold a “cocktail and juiceboxes reception” for the unveiling of Jellio’s balloon dog light. (You may recall the firm’s gummi bear light….) It’ll be sold exclusively at Babesta through December. The event will also have a balloon artist making balloon dogs.

••• On Nov. 17, John Allan’s Tribeca will host its third-annual fall fundraiser for the Career Gear Associate Board.

  1. Well done Torly Kid and the Candy haul. Best use of Halloween candy ever!

  2. What a testament to the great restaurants in Tribeca. Chefs from all over the country and the two finalist are within blocks of each other in this great neighborhood. We can’t lose!
