THE CALM AFTER THE STORM
I vowed not to go out and take photos of the snow, but City Hall Park was so photogenic that I had to snap just a few non-snowman pictures, and it seemed selfish not to share them….

WHAT’S UP THIS WEEK
1. Reality-TV person Whitney Port signs copies of her book, True Whit, at Barnes & Noble Tribeca
2. Arts World Financial Center hosts New Sounds Live: Silent Films/Live Music, in which Alloy Orchestra plays while classic silent films—starring the likes of Buster Keaton, Charlie Chaplin, and Harold Lloyd—are screened.
3. High Art (1998), by Lisa Cholodenko (The Kids Are Alright), plays at 92YTribeca. It stars Ally Sheedy, Radha Mitchell, and Patricia Clarkson.
Just three of the highlights from the calendar for this week. More info on these—and the full calendar—is here.

PRIDE? WHAT PRIDE?
I’ve added info on how to make a donation. I promise that as soon as the advertising revenue covers my costs, I’ll remove this plea. In the meantime…. (And if you’d rather not give money, there are other ways to help.)
