In the News: Bethenny Frankel

••• Nicola Formichetti and architect Mark Foster Gage talk to New York magazine about their pop-up (Nicola’s, 57 Walker, Sept. 8–21). Highlights: It’ll “look like the shattered entrails [Exoskeleton is more likely. —Ed.] of a disco ball, rendered above.” Formichetti: “I’ll be there; I’ll be selling the stuff. My friend Rico the zombie kid [a model who is tattooed all over, including his face and skull]—I wanted him to be shop manager. And I want him to perform in there. He does these shows in Montreal with his friends about, like, blood and zombies and things like that, and it’s weird.” (Gage: “The mirrors are easily cleaned.”) Nicola: The opening party will be “really, really loud, so it won’t be for typical fashion people. I didn’t want the shop to be something really extreme and pretentious—I wanted the kids to go in and, like, buy T-shirts.”

••• “Skinnygirl mogul Bethenny Frankel, who recently admitted that she’s too thin, just closed on a plus-sized condo in Tribeca, in the building where Jay-Z and Beyonce married in the penthouse in 2008.
