Seen & Heard: Morimoto’s Tribeca Restaurant

••• I don’t like to take photos through the windows of works in progress, but at this point I feel like I’m allowed with Tribeca Canvas, a.k.a Masaharu Morimoto’s long-gestating restaurant at 313 Church. The paper on one window was halfway down last night, so I snapped a cell-phone pic. There has been progress—you can click to enlarge—but it doesn’t look like it’s opening this spring (not that anyone said it was).

••• Tomorrow (Tuesday) is Macaron Day—stop by François Payard Bakery to get a free one. And “a portion of macaron sales benefit City Harvest.”

••• The TV show “Gotham” is filming on Warren tomorrow and Wednesday. According to IMDB: “Revolves around a female cop who discovers a magical world that exists within New York City that is unseen by normal humans and reinvents popular landmarks in a magical otherworldly manner.”

••• AIRE Ancient Baths,  the bathhouse on Franklin, is now said to be opening in mid-April.

••• Maybe it happened a while ago, but I only noticed it today: Utrecht art supplies opened at Lafayette and Howard.
