New American Luxury recently featured a very handsome 3,000-square-foot three-bedroom apartment in the Skylofts building at 145 Hudson. It was designed by Harvard-educated architect Inson Dubois Wood, who also helped his clients locate the Skylofts apartment. “I looked at what they had and what they wanted, and I told them flat out, ‘I think you can do better.’”
The clients insisted on an open kitchen, a private office (they have two kids), and presumably, at least one large television. “The clients are also big on home entertainment, so rather than masking that, we embraced it” says Wood. He also made sure to leave ample space on the walls to accommodate their growing art collection.
Other items of note:
••• The kitchen counters are ”white glass” from Glassos.
••• There’s wine storage and a minibar right where you need it—in the home office.
••• Is that a flock of guinea hens I spy in the master bathroom? (I bet the room has amazing views, by the way.)
••• Cute dog!
