NOSY NEIGHBOR: ABOUT THE GOLDMAN SACHS BUILDING…
“Why does the Goldman Sachs building have every single light on at night? Couldn’t they install motion detectors? Aside from the light pollution, isn’t it a waste of money and energy?” —K. The company’s response.

A STEAL OF A MEAL AT MAX TRIBECA
Max has a fantastic prix-fixe deal for early diners. Dine at the restaurant between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. and for $24 you get soup or salad, pizza or pasta, a glass of wine or beer, and half off any subsequent drinks. As you may know, the pizzas are a new addition to Max’s menu, and they’re only getting better: crustier and thinner in the middle. Order one of the ten special combinations or choose your own toppings—such as the delectable margherita with arugula and prosciutto di Parma. 181 Duane St., 212-966-5939, max-ny.com. Sponsored.

REAL ESTATE SALES REPORT
Courtesy of StreetEasy, these are the properties whose sales were recorded by the city in the past seven days (ending 3/23/13)—the sales may have taken place earlier. We’re starting to see the sales at 250 West come in.

WHAT A SWELL PARTY IT WAS
Thanks to everyone who came to the event at By Joy Gryson last week! A good time was had by all, drinking wine from Frankly Wines, eating cheese from Cavaniola’s and macarons from somewhere delicious, and shopping for spring bags from Gryson, Olivia Harris, and IIIBeCa. (Quite a few attendees took advantage of the 15% discount on the spring lines.) It was such a treat to meet so many cool people—longtime Tribecans, folks new to the neighborhood, writers for other local publications, and many more. I even got a juicy piece of news that I’ll share soon….

WHERE IN TRIBECA…?
Congratulations to Adrian for correctly identifying last week’s Where in Tribeca…? (Hint: That’s a straw, not a cigarette.) To find out the answer, click the link. We’ll play again on Friday morning.
