The eighth outpost of NY Kids Club has opened at 88 Leonard. As you might expect, the 4,000-square-foot space is bright and cheery. “We believe children thrive in a structured environment and learn through play,” said manager Megan Matson. Meanwhile, I believe I’d like to jump on that trampoline!
There are three classrooms, where classes on subjects such as dance, music, cooking, and art are offered to kids from as young as eight weeks to as old as nine years. (The curriculum is the same as at the other NY Kids Clubs.) Classes have a maximum of 14 children. And then there’s the gym space, where kids can enjoy open play sessions or take classes in martial arts, gymnastics, and more.
Want to learn more? There are two open houses coming up: Sunday, June 9, 2:30-4 p.m. and 4:30-6 p.m., and Friday, June 14, 3:30-5 p.m. Expect 20 minutes of open play and then a series of three age-appropriate classes. Space is limited, so RSVP by calling 212-334-3301.
NY Kids Club is at 88 Leonard (between Church and Broadway), 212-334-3301; nykidsclub.com.
