It doesn’t have to be a complete loss when kids don’t eat their greens. Simply bring them to the food scrap collection at Greenmarket, where they are accepted for processing into renewable energy or compost for local green spaces. Non-profit GrowNYC partners with the NYC Department of Sanitation to collect fruit and vegetable scraps for community composting at Tribeca Greenmarket twice a week, and Tuesdays at Bowling Green Greenmarket.
