Valentine No. 40

For the fourth summer, I’ll be spotlighting little aspects to life here that I love. To see previous Valentines, click the Valentine tag at the end of the post.

BrushstrokeI was going to make this Valentine about the landscaping outside Brushstroke—David Bouley’s establishments really do earn top marks—but then I realized I love all the buildings that go the extra mile when it comes to greenery. And when Thalassa opens its windows, the bench right in the window is possibly the most delightful place around to have a glass of wine.

  1. I particularly love the greenery outside of Laconda Verde (3rd photo down) they change it often and put real care into it.

  2. All of these look wonderful. Thalassa is a favorite of ours, we live in Tribeca. Always surprised that it isn’t very crowded.
