In the News: Battery Park City Is Getting a Chipotle

••• Downtown Post NYC says that Chipotle is opening at “325 South End Ave. in Battery Park City in the first quarter of 2015.” (That’s just south of Brookfield Place, in what had been a dry cleaners.)

••• More on the conversion of 346 Broadway (108 Leonard) into condos, including this: “The building’s famed clock tower [will be turned] into a private residence” and the fire escapes will be turned into balconies. Construction starts in May of the Landmarks Preservation Commission doesn’t object to the plans. —Curbed

••• Curbed went on the Dwell on Design NY tour and took photos of a handsome loft on Desbrosses.

••• “Among the many spaces open to the public as part of Open House New York weekend was a Manhattan home that evokes a very different time—and design sensibility. Thirty-one years ago, Johan and Dia Scholvinck found themselves living in Tribeca and have, ever since, been remaking their home into a largely Art Deco tribute piece.” —Curbed
