The Battery Park City Authority released its first proposals for increasing flood resiliency. The biggest changes are to Wagner Park, which will get a reconceived pavilion and a footbridge, but there will also be new walls and other barriers throughout the neighborhood.
The recently reinvented second-floor bar at Pier A aims to evoke Havana in the 1920s. It's all very civilized; you're even served a dollop of frozen daiquiri as an amuse-bouche.
