••• Windy today! Check out these pix from Greenwich Street posted by Ilana Rabinowitz.
••• A reader emailed about 137 W. Broadway (at Worth): “It is shocking that such a renovation was allowed and I wonder how it possibly could have been passed?” (And it was also discussed briefly at last week’s meeting of CB1’s Landmarks Committee.) Well, it’s not in the historic district, so the owner can do as he/she pleases. Anyone interested in joining the push for expanding the historic districts should contact Tribeca Trust.
••• Manhattan Youth is seeking vendors for its first holiday craft fair.
••• Now we have somewhere to send our photos of poor parking practices.
••• The Bikram Yoga NYC studio said to be opening on Duane (across from Khe-Yo) has made no visible signs of progress…. I emailed to see about an update. UPDATE: A reader has it on good authority that Bikram Yoga NYC pulled out of that space. UPDATE 11/19: Bikram Yoga NYC co-owner Jen Lobo Plamondon says the 158 Duane plans are still on! “We have had to re-route some mechanical plans which has set us back many months but there has certainly not been any change in our lease. We had high hopes of opening by January but it is probably looking like Spring at this point.”
••• From Downtown Dance Factory: “A group of students (13 girls and a boy from Tribeca—one of our ‘performance’ teams) have just been confirmed to perform pre-game center court at Madison Square Garden for the Knicks vs. Lakers game in February. We’re super excited!”
••• Why stop at two ads? (The better comment, as Andrea Buman said on Instagram: “It’s a hard-knock bike….”)
••• From a press release: A “health and wellness center” (gym? day spa?) called 51 Dream has leaded 1,800 square feet at 44 Trinity Place. “The second floor retail space at the block-through building between Rector Street and Exchange Alley features 15-foot ceilings, 20 feet of frontage, and two entrances along Trinity Place and Greenwich Street.”
••• Mulberry & Vine is collecting pennies through this Thursday—it’s a school project and proceeds go to help homeless children.
••• From Terroir: “Starting [last night] Terroir TriBeCa will be open until midnight on Mondays and Tuesdays. Kitchen till 11 p.m.”
••• Guess the Village Light Opera left the storefront at 249 Church/65 Leonard. Maybe New Fancy Food will move in….
