••• Simeon Lagodich of Gill & Lagodich antique frames on Reade has a show at the Union League Club this month of his plein air landscapes and flower paintings. The one below is lovely—click to see it better.
••• Goods We Love—which curates Danish design and is run by two Tribecans—has popped up a shop inside the Jonathan Burden gallery on Duane Park. It’s very pretty stuff; the wire tray/baskets to the far right are calling my name…. The pop-up is through December.
••• Baked has added soup (this week it’s creamy tomato) and a side salad to its lunch menu.
••• I updated yesterday’s post about the WTC mall announcement—most of them were, in fact, news. To recap: All of these will be in the mall (along with those we’ve already heard about): Banana Republic, LK Bennett, Cole Haan, Aldo, Thomas Sabo, Swatch, Folli Follie, Pandora, Tissot, Fossil, Edward Beiner, Designer Eyes, Longines, Links of London, Caudalie, and L’Occitane.
••• To the reader who asked about the timeline for the redo of Bogardus Garden and Plaza: Work is slated to start in summer of 2016, with construction to take a year.
••• On December 16, Tribecan Monica Chandra is hosting an event from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at American Flatbread Tribeca Hearth for Room to Grow, which helps babies born in poverty. Bring new or in-good-condition winter wear for kids size 0-5T.
••• I walked to the Lower East Side yesterday for lunch at Mission Cantina, and on the way back I was walking west on Canal when I realized you could see 30 Park Place and 56 Leonard from east of the Bowery.
