What’s Coming to the Pão Space

322 SpringThanks to a tipster, we now know that the next restaurant to open in the Pão space, on the southwest corner of Greenwich and Spring, will be a sister restaurant of Harbor Mist in Cold Spring Harbor, Long Island. That’s Harbor Mist pictured below—the room is pretty (never seen it in person…), and the style would suit the 322 Spring storefront. Harbor Mist’s menu (also below) is a bit of a throwback—you don’t see chicken Marsala or baked potatoes around here much anymore—but it’s unclear to what extent the new restaurant (perhaps it’ll be called Hudson Mist…?) will resemble it. I spoke with a gentleman who I assume is the proprietor, and he said that he had yet to decide. He also said he’s shooting for a March opening.

Its forthcoming neighbor two doors to the south, you may recall first reading about here, also has Long Island ties: It’s Houseman, being opened by chef New Baldwin, who ran a series of Houseman pop-ups on the North Fork.
