Two Hands Is Taking It Up a Notch

The “good dudes” from Two Hands, Henry Roberts and Giles Russell, presented at last night’s meeting of the Community Board 1 Tribeca Committee (full Unofficial Minutes to follow), and the big news is that the restaurant they’re opening at 251 Church won’t be a clone of the one on Mott. Where the 700-square-foot original only serves breakfast and lunch, the 1,200-square-foot new location will also offer dinner. Moreover, it’ll be “more of an upscale restaurant,” which is why they’re seeking a full liquor license and closing hours of midnight (Sunday through Thursday) and 2 a.m. (Friday and Saturday).

The sample menu—which is rather huge—and the dining room layout are below. The application says the restaurant will have 84 seats at tables and 12 at the bar. And they intend to apply for a sidewalk café license. The vote in favor was 9-0.

P.S. I’m holding out hope for milkshakes.
