••• I hadn’t realized that Harley-Davidson of NYC‘s Broadway showroom also rents motorcycles.

••• Press release for a fun activity for kids on Aug. 9: “Bring your kids for a reading of Maira Kalman’s book Fireboat: The Heroic Adventures of the John J. Harvey with Captain Mary on board USCGC Lilac. Readings are at 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Doors will open at 11 a.m. No registration required. Join one of two free trips on board the fireboat, John J. Harvey, the hero of the book, either on your way or afterward. Reservations are required for the boat rides since space is limited.” Click here and scroll to Aug. 9 for reservation links. ••• Annika K. Martin tweeted that the former BLT Bar & Grill in the W New York–Downtown hotel is not going to be a BR Guest establishment after all. Instead, it’s being run by LDV Hospitality (American Cut, Scarpetta, etc.). I called, and I was told that it’s now called Lugo. (There’s another one at One Penn Plaza.) Here’s the dinner menu:

There’s likely an elevator shaft behind that wall. A better option would have been to frost the glass or otherwise make it an opaque white color.

    • I believe this is the entrance next door to the Dark Horse….and there is an elevator behind that glass.

  2. The Lugo at 1 Penn Plaza is pretty good – a bright spot in a neighborhood without a lot of otherwise decent options.

  3. Thanks for following up on the BLT replacement, TC!
