Seen & Heard: Ward III Is Finally Reopening

••• 45 Park Place has poked up above ground level.

••• “We’re back!” posted Ward III on Facebook. “Come peek inside this week while we get ready for our grand re-opening on 11/29.” It has been closed for construction since July of 2016.

••• The Lobster Press at the World Trade Center mall appears to have closed. An email  to the PR rep got this response: “At this time we’re unable to comment on Lobster Press.”

••• Nike was shooting something near P.S. 234 yesterday. And the TV show “Bull” is back shooting in the W. Broadway/N. Moore area on Friday. That makes three shoots in Tribeca again this week.

••• A third balcony is up at 187 Franklin. According to the renderings, there’s one more coming, on the lower left.

••• Two updates on the question about toy drives: “Customers can purchase books at the store and we are donating them to the Brooke Jackman Foundation,” said a rep for Barnes & Noble Tribeca. “We have been working with them for years and they really get the books into the hands of kids who need them.” And:

UPDATE: And, from N.: “Also, the annual NY Cares coat drive kicked off this week. Coats can be dropped off at the 1st Precinct, One Police Plaza or the Manhattan Mini Storage on Spring Street, all 24 hours/day until Dec 29.”
