••• “Police arrested a suspect Monday afternoon who they say threatened a man with a knife before stabbing the tires of parked cars on Harrison Street in Tribeca.” —Tribeca Trib

••• Another day, another Broadsheet article based on a real-estate company’s press release: “Data analysis shows that FiDi has more apartments in development pipeline than any other Manhattan neighborhood, with one in three new units located in flood zones.”

••• A New York Times article on “Henri Bendel and the Death of Luxury” ends with a few paragraphs on the Armoury: “There are very few models in New York anymore for what Henri Bendel was. The Armoury, an extremely specialized—and quite small—men’s wear store in an area of Tribeca with little foot traffic, is one of the few examples I can think of.” I’m not much of a shopper, but wouldn’t Barneys, Dover Street Market, Totokaelo, or even Patron of the New be apter comparisons? Anyway, Armoury co-owner says that one of the reasons he can stay in business is that he bought the retail space instead of renting it.
