Seen & Heard: Another Huge Projected Ad

••• Have yourself an early little Christmas?

••• Handbag resale company Rebag is opening a store in the World Trade Center mall. According to the press release, it “claims the title of first luxury reseller to open a permanent location within a tier 1 US mall.” One does wonder what the other retailers think about it. Anyway, the store “will house the most in-demand designer styles and will include Rebag’s infamous Hermès Birkin Wall. It also features the popular Rebag Bar, which allows customers to sell a bag within 60 minutes for instant cash or exchange a previous purchase for at least 70% of the original price.”

••• Another projected ad, this one on the wall above the Square Diner. This is a trend that’s worth keeping an eye on.

••• The new facade of 79 Warren has been unveiled. I wonder why they made the topper match next door.

••• August Gatherings restaurant on Canal has a spiffy new storefront.

  1. Speaking of Canal, any idea what is going on with the row of commercial spaces on the south side of Canal between Church & Broadway? Seems to be a row of identical places available for pop-up stores and such. Pretty much vacant at the moment. I just noticed this briefly while walking by the other day.

  2. Gourmet Garage has Santa available for pictures from 4-7pm daily until 12/24. There’s a sign outside the store on Broadway but I didn’t take a pic. Walked by yesterday and it wasn’t crowded at all.
