RESTAURANTS TO WATCH
There’s a Tribeca connection to nearly every restaurant on this list from The Post of restaurants to watch for in 2020: there’s SAGA at 70 Pine (from the Crown Shy folks), the Nutopian Embassy space at 1 White from Dustin Wilson and Austin Johnson and Andrew Carmellini’s new space at Pier 17. Then there’s the Frenchette folks taking over Le Veau D’Or on the UES and Tyger, from the owners of Chinese Tuxedo on Doyers who were originally aiming for 105 Hudson.

BLOOD CANCERS LINKED TO 9/11
From the Wall Street Journal: “Researchers found an elevated incidence of leukemia in first responders and other workers at the World Trade Center site after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks compared with the general population. The study, by New York researchers, is the first to show an increase in the incidence of the blood cancer, which can occur years after exposure to carcinogens.”

SHARED WORKSPACE COMING TO 3 WTC
Crain’s reports that the real estate services giant CBRE is opening a flexible workspace firm called Hana at 3 World Trade Center, where it will manage about 85,000 square feet of coworking spaces. It also will use about 5,000 square feet of the space for its own office headquarters.

MERYL’S PENTHOUSE GOES TO HEDGE FUNDER
From The Real Deal: “The buyer of actress Meryl Streep’s Tribeca penthouse is hedge funder Kenneth Tropin, public records show. Through a limited liability company, Tropin paid $15.8 million for the penthouse at the River Loft condominium, located at 92 Laight Street.”
