Seen & Heard: Taste fund for restaurants running low

TASTE OF TRIBECA COMMUNITY FUND NEEDS CASH
Taste organizers have spent the past four weeks ordering meals from local restaurants and delivering them to front-line workers at hospitals around the city, thanks to a fundraiser that has netted $68,000 to date. But that fund is now running low, and they are making a last appeal to neighbors to help keep it going. They’ve delivered more than 5400 meals so far and really want to keep going. LESHEM LOFT OFFERING STEEP DISCOUNTS
Photographer Yaron Leshem has been living and working in Tribeca for 11 years, practicing both his fine art (he’s in collections at MoMA) and his portraiture business, which he runs from a studio on Murray with his wife Jenny. The virus has, of course, been devastating for the business, since all shoots are postponed. “We of course know many businesses are in the same situation or worse. I am trying to be creative so hopefully we can weather this,” said Jenny. They are now offering a package at more than half off, and the session can take place any time and does not expire. Any style shoot (studio, scene or location) plus (1) 8 x 10 print is now $2,000 instead of $4,300. See their website here.

SAPAR CONTEMPORARY VIRTUAL STUDIO VISITS
N. Moore gallery Sapar Contemporary is publishing virtual studio visits with its artists on Instagram and putting their shows online. Their site now includes a collection of texts, images and videos shining a light on artists’ experiences in quarantine.
