BATTENING DOWN THE HATCHES
Local businesses are boarding up their storefronts in preparation for tonight’s potential unrest, and Whole Foods has been cleaned out of some basics.

TONI MORRISON’S TRIBECA PIED-A-TERRE IS FOR SALE
The novelist bought this home in 2014 and filled it with books, of course, as well as souvenirs of her literary achievements.

ALL’S QUIET. EERILY QUIET.
With no results on the horizon, the neighborhood seems to be reflecting the stillness of our political limbo.

VOTE.
Today is the day. Polls are open from 6a to 9p at the usual spots, and neighbors are getting out the message. Here’s hoping.

RECENT OPENINGS AROUND THE NEIGHBORHOOD
Scalini Fedeli is back open with curbside; Racines is now an 18-seat wine restaurant with private dining; Split Eights opens a coffee/cocktail bar in Fidi; a brick and click popup at the Oculus.

SEEN & HEARD
Voting is art, art is voting: A neighbor compiles art from around the country that gets out the vote; the pumpkin as politics in Washington Market Park; a family pilgrimage to Ladder 8; Blue Moon Fish has its last day on Greenwich.

CB1 AGENDAS FOR NOVEMBER
This month’s agendas will cover plans afoot at Governors Island, Citi Bike locations, the Howard Hughes development at 250 Water, and more!

POLLS ARE OPEN AND LINES ARE NONEXISTENT
A quick lap of the district by bike at 10a found the polling sites were almost eerily quiet at 234, 89, 276, Leadership & Public Service and Tweed.
