BPC NOW HAS A NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION
After rallying and sitting-in to keep a corner of the Rockefeller lawn from demolition, residents decided to create a new advocacy group. They met this week to discuss the two new sites.

Buddha Bar opens July 13. Plus a Jokr on Broadway; political statements at the Museum of the American Indian; outdoors on the highway.

ROLLER RABBIT HAS CLOSED
The Craft Studio is coming back. The clothing and accessories store at 176 Duane has closed permanently, and its former neighbor is taking its place.

SEEN & HEARD
Something’s missing at The Patriot. Plus Duane Park has two concerts this month; Downtown Day Camp has reopened; and yes, women at work.

NEW AMSTERDAM LIBRARY HAS OPENED
Closed since May 2019, the library reopened with a lot of new infrastructure, tech upgrades and a modern shiny interior.

COMMUNITY BOARD 1 AGENDAS FOR JULY
CB1 meetings are now required to be in person for all voting members; the public is requested to continue to view meetings remotely via Webex.

THE CHAMBERS ST. CONNECTION TO BERNHARD GOETZ
The search for the Subway Vigilante in 1984 started here, at the Chambers Street stop of the 1/2/3 train. The case reverberates today.
