Seen & Heard: Jungsik pastry chef’s shop is a hit

JUNGSIK PASTRY CHEF HAS NEW SHOP
Eunji Lee, whose new pastry shop is written up here in Eater, is a huge hit — so much so that the lines were around the block and they had to shift their hours since the kitchen could not keep up with the demand. It’s called Lysée — a gallery of confections — and its on East 21st and Fifth in the Flatiron.

LOOKING BACK ON CHAMBERS STREET
The Chambers Street block that’s been discussed recently, thanks to the closure of The Patriot, was of course once painted by Dianne Talan, who has painted the entire street over the years. Here it is in 2003.

The Hudson River Park Trust will be hosting guided tours of the Pier 26 tide deck with the park’s River Project educators:

Drop in a line with the Park’s River Project and go catch and release fishing at the water’s edge. All the necessary equipment and instruction is provided for beginner and anglers alike to participate in this relaxing and educational program.
