HEAVENLY MARKET GOURMET COMING SOON
S. caught the new storefront: a Heavenly Market Gourmet is coming to Chambers, between Church and West Broadway on the north side. It joins the new deli on Chambers between West Broadway and Greenwich, Tribeca Olive Branch, our second 24-hour spot in the neighborhood.
GW + THE BIRCH TRIALS LECTURE

HAPPY YEAR OF THE DRAGON!
The celebrations have started in Chinatown — thanks to H. for these pics — but there is still more to come. The Lunar New Year parade hosted by Better Chinatown is scheduled for Sunday, Feb.25, 1p. The route: Mott & Canal to Chatham Square to East Broadway towards the Manhattan Bridge, completing on Eldridge and Forsyth Streets towards Grand Street next to Sara D. Roosevelt Park. See more info here.
Couldn’t one of those markets move into the empty 111 Hudson? We are still bereft up here!
Glad to see Chambers street lights back on and not look over my shoulder. As long as it doesn’t attract undesirable I’m all for it. So many nights I just wanted a bag of chips or lemon for my tea and dreaded the walk to Whole Foods.
Heavenly Gourmet is opening soon between Church and Broadway not West Broadway.
