Where did I see that headline before? Oh yes, here! And now this: A. spotted this sign in the former Outer Reach space, at 345 Greenwich, which has been empty since July 2020. So yes, it’s great that someone is turning the lights on.

The business on the sign is Repeat Nails and the name with it is Jason Zheng, who is also the owner of Above Pigment on Murray. Zheng opened that salon — his second — in September 2020, and is still going.

“We’re currently in the final stages of preparation!” his partner, Hang Yu, told me in an email. “The salon will be called Pixie, and we’re currently aiming to open either by the end of this week or early next week. We’re really looking forward to becoming a new part of the neighborhood!”

Fidi resident Aimee Cho did a beautiful job renovating that space, formerly half of Viet Cafe. But she opened just six months before covid hit the city so she never had a chance.
