••• As you read here last week, the Seasonal Whispers boutique on Murray is now Goldish, with an emphasis on the spiritual (crystals, Tibetan singing bowls, etc.) along with jewelry. Seasonal Whispers used to be run by Esther Lixenberg and her daughter, Yafit Gold; the proprietors of Goldish are Yafit and her daughter, Tyler Goldflower. Now it turns out that Lixenberg has reopened Seasonal Whispers in her real estate office at 71 Hudson (Jay/Duane).
••• Press release: “State Senator Daniel Squadron, Congressmember Jerry Nadler, Manhattan Borough President Gale Brewer, and Councilmember Margaret Chin urged the City Administration to create a centralized coordinator of major construction projects in lower Manhattan, in a letter to First Deputy Mayor Shorris. The electeds’ call comes in response to the elimination of the Department of Transportation Lower Manhattan Borough Commissioner’s Office, which had been serving some of these functions.”
••• Y. noticed that there was work happening in the former Dean’s space (349 Greenwich) yesterday. The Wayfarer restaurant had applied for a liquor license there, but said last month that “We have no update on this property.”
••• N. noticed that paper went up in the windows at the former Baluchi’s space, which will be a Bluemercury cosmetics store.
••• A reader sends word that 381 Broadway appears to be fully gutted, with the exception of the ground floor (where Joey’s Pepperoni is).
