I have it on good authority that the Aesop beauty brand is opening a shop at 138 W. Broadway, most recently the site of the Ruum kids’ store. (You may have noticed that the “for rent” sign has been removed.) In case you don’t know Aesop, this is from its website:

There are at least six Aesop shops in Manhattan—the “store locator” page is busted, so I’m relying on Google Maps—with the nearest one on W. Broadway just below Prince, at least until the World Trade Center mall store opens. I’ve been to the Aesop in Soho but I don’t remember much; the price of a two-ounce jar of moisturizer left me gasping in shock. While cruising through Aesop’s Instagram feed to find a photo for this post, however, I was entranced: The stores are stunning! And the company often hires cutting-edge architects.
