Architectural Digest featured the Tribeca penthouse of Anthony Sperduti, a co-founder of the Partners & Spade ad agency. Inspired by “cinematography, Peggy Guggenheim’s Venice home, and 1970s New York nightlife,” Sperduti did the renovating and decorating himself, and the result is fantastic. Of note:
••• “When I learned that it was the Mudd Club building and that the fourth floor was once Keith Haring’s gallery, I was like, I don’t want to live anywhere else,” said Sperduti. He bought it in late 2016. (That explains the Mudd Club poster in the guest bedroom.)
••• He’s a “self-professed cinephile with an aversion to the look of TV sets […] ‘The first order of business was where can I hide a projection screen?'” Amen to that!
••• Local sources include Todd Merrill, Thomas Hayes, Shinola, Roll and Hill, Roman and Williams Guild, BDDW

Wow. I love it – and it doesn’t just look expensive, it actually has some originality and creativity and all that good stuff. Gorgeous.
