The Downtown Community Center and its programs here and across the borough are in dire financial shape. If schools don’t open in September, it will only get worse.

SCHNIPPER’S HAS CLOSED FOR GOOD
The burger joint that opened on Church and Murray in 2016 will shutter this outlet; its three others are still going in midtown and in Fidi.

A NEW YORK FIRST: THE SUBWAY CLOSED AT NIGHT
I don’t recommend going out in the wee hours, but still, it’s surreal to see closed subway stations and completely empty streets.

PUFFY’S OPEN FOR DRINKS AND SANDWICHES
The bar will be serving its specialty Italian sandwiches from 11a to 6p along with drinks served to go for walk-up and call-in orders.
