••• Luis at the FiDi Fan Page discovered that something he called the SeaGloo opens tonight on Fulton Street in the South Street Seaport. “It’s a pop-up igloo bar on Fulton Street that will have a small stage and live music. Looks like it will be glowing purple at night.” Turns out it’s called Front/Row. From the website: “Full enclosed heated cube. Live music. Full bar. Hot food.” Playing tonight: A Grateful Dead tribute band called Wigwam.
••• Megu has rebranded its bar as M Lounge: “The concept of M Lounge is to make our bar/lounge space more neighbor friendly, affordable, tasty, and casual,” emailed a rep. It’s in a soft-opening phase, with a “more exciting menu” to come. For now, the highlight is evidently the half-pound Kobe beef burger. (I replied to ask if this was related to the M Lounge that Megu launched in 2011; will update this when I hear back.) Update: The venue is the same, renovated a bit. Besides the burger, the menu includes oysters, goat cheese sticks, spicy edamame, and something intriguing called choco bacon.
••• Lenny’s sandwich shop has opened at 25 Park Place.
••• @WTCProgress tweeted this photo with a caption saying that “Ironworkers begin to dismantle One WTC’s exterior hoist starting from the roof level.” Maybe that’ll help with the wailing….
